    Senior Cloud Engineer | Leading Asset Manager | Boston, MA | Hybrid

    Overview:

    This Boston based leading asset management firm is looking to add a Senior Cloud Engineer to their Core Infrastructure team. You will work and support this firm's mission critical business units and help them in their cloud transformation Right now, they have AWS and are looking for someone to strengthen that infra, as well as possibly heading towards an AWS/Azure multicloud approach.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support and maintain the cloud transformation strategy in relation to industry best practices.
    • Manage and strengthen the AWS architecture firm wide.
    • Facilitate, from an infrastructure perspective, application cloud migrations.
    • Improve the adoption of DevOps methodologies for the firm and its related business units.
    • Participate in architectural discussions to ensure streamlined deployments, security, and cost efficiency for the cloud.
    • Create and maintain automation with modern Infra as Code

    Requirements:

    • Computer Science Bachelors degree
    • 5+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years working with AWS, Azure a plus
    • Comprehensive understanding of AWS services and tools (EC2, S3, IAM, SNS, Lambda, Control Tower, CloudWatch)
    • Experience with Windows and Linux
    • Languages: Python, Powershell, Bash, or similar language. Golang nice to have
    • Pipeline experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps
    • Infra as code experience: Terraform/Terragrunt, CloudFormation, or Ansible
    • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog
    • Containerization experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
    • Related infrastructure experience with firewalls and networking best practices
    • Team communication skills to be able to work in a global team, while maintaining individual priorities and project completion
