    Job Summary:

    The Construction Foreman coordinates assigned construction activities and oversees field personnel to successfully complete assigned tasks on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality of work while administering excellent construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Reports to Vice President of Field Operations.

    Core Responsibilities:
    • With direct Mgmt. assistance, ordering needed materials for projects such as concrete, rebar, forms, etc.
    • Coordinates construction work according to priorities and plans.
    • Directs both field personnel and at times subcontractors to achieve project/task completion on schedule, within budget, with quality that conforms to plans and specifications.
    • Understands plans and specifications and identifies issue requiring clarification.
    • Tracks daily time and production for assigned employees.
    • Produce schedules and daily goals and monitor attendance of crew.
    • Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
    • Supervise and train workers.
    • Guarantee all safety precautions & quality standards are met.
    • Supervise the use of and at times operate machinery and equipment.
    • Resolve problems when they arise.
    • Report on progress to managers.
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned including self-perform work.

    Core Competencies:
    • Technical: Ability to comprehend plans, prints and specifications, sequence and schedule on-site work and maintain quality control standards.
    • Problem Solving: Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, costs and implications.
    • Leadership: Ability to successfully coordinate & supervise workers & at times subcontractors. Work with clients and co-workers in a professional manner.
    • Communication: Displays strong oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills needed to work well with diverse personalities and accurately document technical issues in written correspondence and reports.
    • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
    • Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating items.
    • Ability to lift 35-40 pounds consistently and 70 pounds occasionally with assistance; proper lifting techniques required.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time. Approximately 95-100% of time on the job is spent standing up.
    • Overnight travel is required, up to 75% out of town. M-F, home for the weekend.

    Experience:
    • 5+ years of successful concrete & construction experience.
    • Management experience a plus.
