    Description
    The RN provides evaluation of assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
    Provides assistance to nursing peers as requested.
    RN assists physicians during examinations and procedures.

    Registered Nurse for the ICU/CCU performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.

    The RN promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

    Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the nursing field.
    Graduate of a nursing program is required.
    Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

    Must demonstrate ability to interpret basic EKG strips as evidenced by 80% or greater pass rate on initial exam or successful competency within six (6) weeks of hire date.

    The RN must have prior critical care or intensive care experience is preferred. Current Mississippi RN licensure is required.
