Strategic Sourcing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

Source goods, materials, and services at competitive prices

Work with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts

Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing

Obtain quotes from different suppliers to conduct cost-down activities

Implement Inventory optimization strategies within the company

Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with vendors

Monitor vendor performance with KPIs, goals, and scorecards

Ensure a reliable supply of materials and keep abreast of any lead time issues within the marketplace and across all product lines

Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Highly organized team player with a positive, professional attitude

A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies

Strong negotiation skills

Highly analytical

Strong computer skills including the use of standard office programs

Ability to pass criminal/background checks and drug screening
