    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
    Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    As a Staff Systems Engineer, you'll participate in requirements analysis and management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration and test (verification) in the development and evaluation of networks and information systems.     Representative Duties:
    • Financial and agile team management functions for a cross product team that consists of Systems, User Experience (UX,) Logistics, Reliability /Availability, Cyber, Surety, Safety and Survivability engineers.
    • Cost account manager for Systems, UX, Safety, Surety and Survivability. The responsibility requires task planning, budget management, and monthly status.
    • Agile team management requiring coordination with other Integrated Products Teams (IPTs) at the Release Train Engineer (RTE) level to ensure consistency of operation and coordination of support.
    • Internal agile team management consisting of direct control of day to day execution for the logistics, systems and UX teams and top level coordination over all cross product team Product Owners (POs).

    What you bring to the table:
    • A Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; Agile experience preferred
    • Substantial use, understanding and tailoring of systems engineering concepts, principles and theories
    • Substantial proficiency with requirements management & system modeling tools
    • Ability to recognize various architectural patterns, apply them appropriately, understand strengths/weaknesses within those architectures and develop architectural variations as necessary
