Position Overview

We are hiring Variable Hour Event Security Officers to support event-based contracts. This position is ideal for individuals who already have a full-time job or other commitments and are seeking supplemental income on an as-needed basis.

Important: This is a variable hour position.

We cannot guarantee any minimum number of hours.

Hours are entirely dependent on:

• Client demand for services
• Event scheduling
• Your availability

Event schedules are typically:

• Late-week afternoons/evenings
• Weekends

However, events may occur at any time, including weekdays.

This is an unarmed position.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• General event security presence
• Crowd monitoring and access control
• Alcohol consumption area enforcement
• Foot patrols
• Customer service and guest assistance
• De-escalation and conflict resolution
• Monitoring for safety concerns
• Completing incident reports
• Other duties as assigned

Officers are expected to remain alert, professional, and customer-focused at all times.

Compensation

• $23.00 per hour base pay
• Potential for increased hourly pay depending on contract requirements
• W2 employee status

This position does not include benefits due to its variable hour structure.

Employee Client Referral Bonus Program

We value initiative and growth. Employees may participate in our Client Referral Bonus Program:

If you refer a client to Columbine Security Services and they enter into a contract with us, you will receive:

• $50 bonus for any contract totaling 8 hours or less
• PLUS 1% of the contract revenue for up to the first 6 months for contracts 8 hours or more

Depending on the contract's length, hours, and bill rate, this bonus can range from $50 to $1,380 or more

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
• Demonstrate excellent customer service
• Present themselves professionally in appearance and demeanor
• Communicate clearly and confidently
• Are reliable and punctual
• Can stand and walk for extended periods

Relevant experience required.

Security experience is welcome but not mandatory. Acceptable backgrounds may include:

• Military service
• Law enforcement
• Customer service roles
• Hospitality
• Event staff
• Other experience deemed acceptable by the company

Hiring Requirements

All candidates must successfully complete:

• Criminal background check
• Drug screening
• Interview (in-person or remote)
• Verification of relevant experience
