    The Senior Director Publications is responsible for contributing to the co-creation and strategic development of medical and scientific publications included in a global disease publication plan.

    This position has a hybrid schedule which allows for 2 days per week working remotely and 3 days per week in our Boston Fan Pier office.

    (Relocation assistance is available).
    Provide scientific input during strategic discussions.
    Lead and drive the development of medical and scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, and posters and oral presentations.
    Supervise and mentor a team of scientific writers, guiding their professional development, and ensuring high-quality output.

    Oversight and direct contributions to the crafting and development of scientific content for various publication types, ensuring all content is evidence-based, well-structured, and tailored to the target audience.

    Participate in budget forecasting and long-range planning for strategic growth within the department.
    Ensures compliance with Vertex publication policy and external publication guidelines.

    Substantial experience in crafting and developing peer-reviewed publications is required including direct development of manuscripts, abstracts and other congress materials.

    Knowledge of industry guidelines pertaining to data dissemination (e.g., Ability to collaborate with external Key Opinion Leaders on data dissemination strategies in a credible, responsive, and scientific manner.

    Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and clinical data to key stakeholders.

    Creative problem-solver with strong business acumen and skills.
    Excellent project and team management skills, ensuring that deliverables are on time and within budget.
    Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Datavision
    PhD is required
