- Assists with the management and maintenance of the systems used for analysis of customer and internal nonconformance's.
- Participates in the development and implementation of effective corrective / preventive actions.
- Reviews and assists with the disposition of nonconforming products.
- Performs internal and supplier quality audits and assists with the supplier qualification/ratings process.
- Analyzes data using statistical tools (including process capability studies) to establish control limits for use on the production floor as well as the development and evaluation of current and/or new specifications.
- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
- Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
- Brainstorms ideas to create solutions for identified problems.
- Develops test methods, procedures, work instructions and conducts training.
- Acts as a catalyst for continuous quality improvement throughout the operations.
- Works with Production and Engineering staff to troubleshoot quality issues.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years quality related experience and/or training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.)
- Experience with computer-based quality data information systems (e.g. Minitab, ERP systems, etc.).
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills using formal process tools and techniques (e.g. PDCA, DMAIC, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- ASQ Quality Engineer certification or Lean Six Sigma Black Certification.
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Management Systems.
- Be able to lift a maximum of 35 pounds.
- Be able to work hours shifts.
- Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk.
- Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance, sometimes in awkward or tight spaces.
- Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Ability to visually detect color differences.
- Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe).
- Safety Glasses.
- Bump Caps.
- Protective Gloves, when performing certain tasks.
- Hearing Protection, when required.
- Other personal protective equipment as required for certain tasks.
