    Job DescriptionDescription:

    The Referral Coordinator is responsible for handling incoming referrals and calling the prospective patients to schedule appointment, ensuring that appropriate authorizations are requested, received and recorded in the EMR. Employs multiple tracking mechanisms to ensure all patients receive their appointment in a timely manner and are always cleared for their appointment prior to their arrival. Enters progress notes and other pertinent information into the electronic medical record based on application of practices and procedures.

    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2 years of medical office experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance plans and verification procedures
    • Customer Service skills
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    • Experience with Epic preferred
    • Must be detailed oriented
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
    • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
    • Strong multi-tasking skills
    • Must be able to work a Sat-Tues schedule
