    Job Description

    We are seeking a Heavy Haul Dispatcher to coordinate transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of large-scale equipment to project sites. Close communication with drivers, project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies is required to ensure compliance with safety, permitting, and regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate on vehicle distribution with the Labor Superintendent.
    • Ensure all personnel operating company vehicles are properly entered in the LENS system for periodic review.
    • Schedule and coordinate large equipment mobilization with the PM team.
    • Supervise work assignments and monitor Driver performance.
    • Ensure proper completion of audit logs daily and monthly.
    • Schedule vehicle inspections and maintenance, providing reporting as required.
    • Schedule and dispatch drivers, trucks, and other service vehicles to locations according to Project Manager or Customer requests.
    • Coordinate cost-efficient loads, identifying needs to plan loading and unloading.
    • Solicit third-party trucking as necessary.
    • Audit trailers and tie-down equipment to ensure safety standards compliance.
    • Obtain permits for oversized loads, ensuring adherence to state and local regulations.
    • Perform routine reviews of drivers' logs for compliance with company policy and industry regulations.
    • Respond to transport issues, including delays, equipment malfunctions, and route modifications.
    • Collaborate with the Safety Department to monitor load securement and follow safety protocols during transportation.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma; equivalent work experience may substitute for education.
    • Three plus years of fleet management and/or heavy-construction equipment experience.
    • Rigging experience is beneficial.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with construction contracts, schedules, and cost management.
    • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial environment.
    • Eagerness to learn and grow within the industrial construction sector.
