- Provide guidance and technical mentoring to engineers in the team.
- Maintain operations of live service on a rotational, on-call basis when issues arise.

Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. The Azure PostgreSQL databases team is hiring Principal Software Engineer to be part of PostgreSQL Engine team. We are looking for a hands-on engineer with experience in database internals, have experience in building distributed database systems at cloud scale. PostgreSQL internals and Linux experience is preferred for this role. The group fosters a diverse and inclusive work culture that always prioritizes people. Preferred/Additional Qualifications
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
