    Description

    SAIC is looking for candidates that possess technical expertise in spacecraft System Engineering. Member will be an integral participant in spacecraft requirements development, design analysis, and verification. Key areas of focus include spacecraft requirements, test, deployments, weight management, fault management, power allocation, and payload accommodation. Experienced in the design & subsystem integration of satellite buses and knowledgeable of launch & flight operations of space vehicles.

    • Reviews and coordinates changes to specifications, ICDs, and system level requirements documentation for spacecraft
    • Tracks development issues and attends unit, subsystem, system level design reviews
    • Supports launch and spacecraft on-orbit test as required
    • Identifies and assesses emerging risks and develops & evaluates proposed burn-down plans
    • Reviews developer's readiness to proceed into spacecraft test at various levels of assembly
    • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team
    • Experience in DoD IC acquisition and program management processes

    Qualifications

    · 10+ years of experience

    · Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline required

    · Experience with spacecraft subsystems integration development and test

    · Strong attention to detail

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Ability to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results; strong networking, interpersonal, customer service skills, team building and problem-solving skills with an ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment

    · Excellent Organizational skills, ability to plan, track and maintain due dates for multiple taskers and products central to customer acquisition processes
