    Description

    Duties * Serves as Director of the Quality Assurance Directorate, responsible for planning, directing, and reviewing Quality Assurance functions and missions.

    * Establishes Quality Assurance program objectives for the organization. * Develops and implements Quality Assurance policy guidance. * Coordinates with other organizations/directorates to negotiate, decide on, and/or coordinate work related changes. * Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion. * Develops and maintains an audit program designed to support reviews of all manufacturing, rebuild, renovation, and demilitarization functions.

    * Serves as the principal advisor to the JMTC Commander and Deputy Commander on all quality assurance programs and initiatives.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * Position requires approximately 20% CONUS/OCONUS travel. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. * A 1-year supervisory probationary period may be required for this position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

    Additional information * Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
