    • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1650 (competitive travel nurse pay)

    Qualifications / Job Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a high-acuity hospital setting
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Texas RN or compact state RN
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (TNCC preferred; ENPC and CPI accepted)
    • Strong triage, trauma nursing, and critical thinking skills; experience with ESI triage guidelines
    • Clinical experience caring for STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and trauma patients
    • Proficiency with Meditech EMR documentation preferred
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) nurses encouraged to apply — Brownsville, TX bilingual nursing jobs

    Responsibilities

    • Provide bedside emergency nursing care including IV insertions, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care
    • Perform triage assessments, prioritize patients, and apply ESI triage levels
    • Deliver care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients
    • Assist with airway management, intubation, rapid sequence intubation, CPR, and code team response
    • Provide moderate sedation for procedures (reductions, cardioversion) as indicated
    • Coordinate patient transport and transfers to higher levels of care
    • Implement isolation and infection control protocols in the ED
    • Document assessments and interventions efficiently in Meditech EMR and perform timely reassessments
