As a core member of the Human Resource in HUB U.S./Mexico/Latin America, Electrification Installation Products (ELIP), at Portland, Tennessee, you will deliver HR service assistance to the HR community, business managers and employees.
You will process complex and escalated HR requests related to multiple service lines for an assigned group of employees.
You will provide on-location HR support to employees, including managers, to ensure effective and sustainable workplace relations and performance in close collaboration with Human Resource network.
This role will need to be able to work onsite in our Portland, TN facility on a daily basis.
Your responsibilities
Assist in deployment of divisional/corporate HR strategy and initiatives
Assist with the development of and delivery of developmental training and opportunities for employees
Administer compensation and benefits plans
Assist in Talent Acquisition and recruitment processes
Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives
Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
Promote HR programs to create an efficient workplace
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
Undertake tasks around performance management
Process payroll on a weekly basis
Your background
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (or significant relevant experience in lieu of degree), with 2-5 years of Human Resource experience (in a manufacturing environment preferred)
Intermediate to advanced skill set in Microsoft Office applications
Solid knowledge of employment law
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and ability to gather and analyze information objectively and skillfully
Strong planning and organizational skills
Strong judgement, decision making and influencing skills
Proven ability to balance business partnerships with employee advocacy preferred
Experience coaching leaders preferred
Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
