    Responsibilities

    Organize and coordinate activities and flow of work for pastoral care services to optimize clinical coverage, staff development and oversight, and collaboration at the national level/system office.

    • Provide guidance as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team by serving as a knowledgeable, ethical, and religious resource for patients, families and healthcare providers.
    • Coordinate staff assignments to ensure appropriate pastoral coverage.
    • Oversee department staff to ensure the provision of quality pastoral care.
    • Serve as a member of the pastoral team to implement new departmental strategies, directions, policies, and procedures.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • Board Certification through the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains, Association of Clinical Pastoral Educators, or the Association of Pastoral Counselors is required.

    Education:

    • Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Studies or related field is required.
    • 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by ACPE is required.

    Work Experience:

    • 1 year of experience required.

    Additional Preferences

    • 3-5 years healthcare chaplaincy experience preferred.
