Description
Oversees the safe and fun operation of the ponies program including care and teaching. The program includes group rides, some animal training, animal care. Supervises other staff when they support the livestock programs. Training is provided before camp to familiarize staff with ponies and goats. We are seeking 2 staff for this role, 1 which would work full time hours with 1 day off during the week, and another who is looking for weekends only.
The job may be tailored as an internship if you need it; it is your responsibility to determine if academic credit is available within your academic department and degree program. Up to $1,500 scholarship available for camp staff in college that complete a full season.
Starting pay is $2,7000-$3,300 dependent on experience for the summer season, benefits include room and board, training in several program areas, personal leadership development, use of program equipment, free parking, great co-workers, scholarship opportunities, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of youth. Scholarship up to $1,000 for the season available.
Required Qualifications
The summer camp season goes from June 6th - August 14th. We are seeking staff who are available to work weekends and weekdays with a weekly day off.
