    Description

    Tarkett, a leading manufacturer of premium floorcoverings, has an exciting role within the North American R&D/Engineering team. The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a project's execution, from concept through to industrialization and validation phases and will be responsible for the follow up project post mortem. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting the Product Manager(s) and Project Engineers(s) conferring with all projects direct and indirect stakeholders. Including, liaising with Procurement and legal departments procuring and managing outside contractors as well as all operations functions, scheduling project phases and managing project deliverables. The Strategic Projects Manager manages all aspects of project budgets including project change orders as well as providing regular updates. This individual acts as the primary point of contact for all internal stakeholders, external stakeholders and subcontractors,

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish and lead a multidisciplinary team- providing project management leadership for all strategic projects.
    • Train local leaders to manage projects/ sub projects.
    • Proven ability to turn conceptual ideas into fully industrialized processes by utilizing existing, or developing new technologies.
    • Conduct Gate Reviews and routinely interact with Senior Management and other stakeholders to communicate project status per the established Project Communications Plan.
    • Assign tasks, responsibilities, and accountability to team members to achieve Project and Product goals.
    • Provide expert advice and oversight to local project teams.
    • Aligning projects with a company's mission and objectives.
    • Assessing the tools and techniques a company uses to manage projects.
    Experience/ Qualifications
    • 8+ years of experience leading complex Manufacturing operations projects/New product innovation.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to promote team interaction and execution
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Extreme attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with high levels of complexity
