    IT Project Manager - Humana

    100% Remote

    Long-term Contract

    Our client's Technology Lifecycle Management team is focused on helping the organization get their Infrastructure and Software off of old technology and onto new platforms. They are needing an experienced Project Manager to help with several long-term projects, including a sunset of Windows 2016. You will be working with a Data Analyst who will use ServiceNow to pull the data that shows where the servers exist, and then figure out which applications are on those servers. You will be tasked with meeting with the application owners and development teams, and then working in ServiceNow PPM to organize the initiative to start moving onto the new version.

    Responsibilities:

    • The Project Manager designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project.
    • Prepares designs and work specifications; develops project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
    • Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
    • Conducts meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
    • Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
    • Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
    • Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
    • Follows established guidelines/procedures.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years experience managing Technology Lifecycle Management projects, or similar Infrastructure/Application Development initiatives
    • Proficient in ServiceNow PPM
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
    • Experience working on both Waterfall and Agile projects
    • Foundational understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle - ability to interact with Application Developers/Owners
    • Process driven, detailed-oriented, and strong organizational skills
    • Critical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities (simple to complex)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Motivated self-starter and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to work well under pressure to meet compressed deadlines
