Job GoalThis position is responsible overseeing the implementation and compliance of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programming within the Title I service area in the state of Iowa.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of WIOA regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of workforce development initiatives.
This position requires travel across the Northeast Iowa Region.Duties and Responsibilities The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class.
Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.Provide compliance oversight including, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing WIOA programming. Conduct regular audits and reviews of program documentation, participant records, and performance metrics to verify compliance. Identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
Design and implement evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness and impact of WIOA programming. Analyze data and performance indicators to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate reports and recommendations for program enhancements based on evaluation findings.
Provide training and technical assistance to staff, partners, and stakeholders on WIOA regulations, policies, and best practices.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public administration, social work, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).At least 3 years of experience working in workforce development, human services, or a related field, with a focus on program compliance and quality assurance.
In-depth knowledge of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related regulations.Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) certification preferred.
Essential Functions Serve as a resource for interpreting and implementing WIOA guidelines and requirements. Facilitate workshops and informational sessions to promote understanding and compliance with WIOA standards.
Foster a culture of quality improvement through innovation and collaboration with program managers and stakeholders to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor the effectiveness of quality improvement efforts and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to program activities, compliance efforts, and quality assurance initiatives.Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and funding sources in accordance with established deadlines. Ensure that all reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
