    CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Python Developer to join our financial services team in Reston, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry.     This position is based in either Reston, VA or anywhere in the US where CGI has an office in the Central/Eastern Time Zones.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in standardizing data collection and telemetry protocols, enhancing observability, and ensuring vendor-neutral telemetry practices.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


    • Accomplished Python developer (4+ years' experience)

    • 2+ years of experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).

    • ​1+ year experience in OpenTelemetry

    • Extensive coding experience with Python based products in AWS, including serverless infrastructure

    • Experience with the creation of Rest APIs and Lambas in Python

    • Experience in designing and developing python integrated solutions using AWS services​

    • Experience in CI/CD frameworks, agile release management, and DevOps functions

    • Experience with revision control source code repositories

    • Experience with Dynamo DB and Redshift

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Forward-thinking developer with a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence.

    Education Requirement:
