- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas.
- Operate hand tools, crimp tools, etc.
- Operate banders.
- Load materials onto trucks
- Examine and route shipments in the department, rejects damaged items for shipment, and correspond with shipping clerks and supervisors to rectify any issues in the department related to shipments.
- May perform computer functions necessary to track aspects of shipped materials.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business.
- 13+ years experience in manufacturing or shipping
- Ability to work in fast paced / physically demanding environment
- Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret invoices and pack slips
- Ability to endure heat in a warehouse environment
- Willing to submit to background screening and drug screening

Spherion is currently seeking to fill a temp to PERMANENT Shipping Loader position for our Local Award-Winning Aluminum Fence Manufacturing CompanyEmployees will be preparing, packaging, and loading shipping materials.
They will also be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and professional packaging, shipping, and receiving of various items needed for production process.
