- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments, to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine, patient preferences, and clinical judgment.
- Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and other treatment modalities to address acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventive health needs.
- Provide ongoing medical management and follow-up care for patients with chronic conditions, ensuring continuity of care and optimization of health outcomes.
- Offer patient education and counseling on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate care and facilitate referrals as needed.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent certifying body.
- Valid New York State medical license and DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine from an accredited residency program.
- Excellent clinical skills, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based practice knowledge.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing clinical environments.
