    Description

    Our partner, a top financial services firm, is looking for a skilled Data Architect/Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

    Job Summary

    The Data and Reporting platform plays a key role in providing reports for both internal and external clients, covering a wide range of data needs. The current focus is on revamping this platform to be more efficient, scalable, and robust.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish data quality framework and monitoring processes.
    • Define data architecture standards and principles.
    • Optimize data flows and processes for simplicity.
    • Analyze data issues and implement solutions.
    • Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth data operations.
    • Recommend tools for data management and engineering.
    • Develop data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
    • Support reporting applications and downstream changes.

    Required Skills

    • 10-15+ years of experience in scalable data architecture.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
    • 5+ years of hands-on Python experience.
    • 10+ years of enterprise data architecture experience.
    • Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
    • Experience with data lake/big data platforms and data mesh technology.
    • Understanding of data model design and DevOps practices.
    • Strong communication skills and innovative thinking.
    • Experience in BI tools and Java development is a plus.

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
