    Our Impact:

    The Innovation, Data Engineering and Analytics (IDEA) under Freddie Mac's Single-Family Division is currently seeking a Risk System Development Prof to implement tools and methods of risk evaluation, build and manage credit data, and perform research and analytics as a member of the Analytics and Reporting team. We are seeking a confident, self-motivated, and creative professional to focus on data analysis for BI tools and reporting.

    Your Impact:

    • Interact with business teams and other stakeholders to understand and business needs and develop business requirements, business rules, business test cases and work with management to prioritize, support the process life cycle and to report back to the stakeholders
    • Collaborate with the team to identify the process improvements, recommend solutions, successfully complete the POCs and implement
    • Perform data extract, analyze raw data for anomalies, understand and apply the data rules and relationships, visualize data to get insights and support data decisions
    • Support data consumers to facilitate their reporting and analysis activities
    • Ability to Understand the data issues, break them into components, and interpreting the data sets and provide the recommendation to enhance the data
    • Gain in-depth understanding of source data and related controls to ensure integrity of reporting and analysis
    • Assist in the preparation of timely, accurate and effective technical data controls
    • Apply basic understanding of standard risk management and controls assurance principles, theories, concepts, and techniques where applicable

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors (or) Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
    • Data analysis experience, with a combination of business and technical skills
    • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong SQL, Excel and programming skills using SAS, Python/R
    • Data Warehouse/Data Marts, Data Modeling, Database understanding
    • Familiarity with BI tools such as Micro-strategy, or Tableau
    • Works closely with SMEs to gain experience and develop expertise with Freddie Mac data and systems
    • Familiarity with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sets (XML, JSON, etc), processing and analyzing them
