• Develop conceptual civil engineering designs for Transportation projects.
• Evaluating the drainage needs of open channels and storm sewer systems through hydrology and hydraulic calculations
• Working with junior staff and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plan
• Calculating quantities and preparing cost estimates

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT Certification required
• Florida PE License preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 3+ years experience in Transportation design and plan production
• Practical working knowledge of the AASHTO Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual, and the MUTCD as well as FDOT Design manuals and processes
• Experience with Microstation, Geopak or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
• FDOT experience
