    Position Summary

    Primary responsibilities include tracking and placement of product materials to flow to proper locations according to productions schedules. Verifies accuracy for the delivery of materials and current inventories which includes location status. Track delivery progress and notify department of changes in delivery schedules. Collaborates with internal departments to prioritize deliveries based on organizational needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Coordinates schedule(s) with Planners, Supervisors, and Leads to meet production schedules.
    2. Assists in the coordination of flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records.
    3. Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
    4. Assists with shipments intake and quality inspections as needed.
    5. Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
    6. Compiles and maintains computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, ASME Code, and status and location of materials.
    7. Coordinates the transportation of materials efficiently from one department to another when needed.
    8. May arrange for repair of material(s) or part(s).
    9. Prepares reports for materials and prepares all production records on computerized system.
    10. Coordinate with all department Planners, Supervisors, and Leads to ensure accountability for all materials.
    11. Maintain all information for status of materials on weekly basis.
    12. Responsible for various yard work projects, including general clean up, as needed.
    13. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
    14. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
    15. Other duties may be assigned.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications
    • 2+ years' experience in material handling
    • 2+ years' experience in product shipping and receiving - preferred
    • High school diploma or GED - preferred
    • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
    • Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills.

    • An acceptable combination of education and experience
    Physical Demands of Position
    • This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree
    • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
    • Must have the abilityto climb ladders and/or stairs
    • Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending
    • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities
    • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed
