    Come and join our team We are a local growing private medical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the retina and vitreous. We are looking for individuals who would like to establish a career in healthcare working with nationally recognized physicians. Established in 1977, we have locations all over Northern California including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City and Chico. Our physicians are nationally known, and we continue to be on the leading edge of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and both participating in and designing new clinical trials to advance the state of care for retinal diseases.     We seek a full-time Ophthalmic Photographer to support our team. Although you must be able to work independently, you will be working directly with physicians, patients, and clinical and business office staff. Collaboration and being a team player are essential to the success of this role. This position will require travel to other locations as needed, and weekly travel to Grass Valley. Mileage is reimbursed and extra time to travel is paid.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greets patient by first and last name, verifies patients DOB.
    • Review physician orders and takes appropriate photos.
    • Ensure patient has no allergies to fluorescein or ICG dye prior to procedure.
    • Understand diagnosis and what photos to take accordingly.
    • Ability to interpret OCT, Fa/ Photo images and document in EHR.
    • Ability to take all photos ordered by physician. Including, color photos, iris photo/FA and montage photos as needed.
    • Remind patients what is being done (talk them through it) and ask patients if they have questions before proceeding with fluorescein injections and taking photos.
    • Ensure that all patient consent forms for fluorescein are up to date (must be no older than 12 months).
    • Answer patient questions.
    • Use hand sanitizer or wash hands while patient is watching.
    • Keep work areas clean and "sterile" (i.e. no fluorescein stains on counter, no uncapped needles, etc.)
    • Ability to maintain a HIPAA and OSHA compliant workstation
    • Understand emergency protocols
