    Description

    Job Title: Substance Use Counselor at DRS Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Program

    Company: Confidential

    BASIC FUNCTION: Provides counseling and treatment services for adults with substance use disorders in the outpatient program. Services are based on input from the treatment team, supervisor, and compliance with standards.

    MAJOR DUTIES:

    • Provides evidence-based counseling for substance use disorders and mental illness.
    • Conducts client intakes, assessments, and designs treatment plans.
    • Coordinates treatment with other clinicians.
    • Builds professional relationships and serves as a positive role model.
    • Offers individual, group, and family counseling.
    • Maintains client charts, updates planning, and writes progress notes.
    • Prepares reports and refers clients to other services.
    • Performs administrative tasks and fills in for others when needed.

    • Works Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
    • Location: NY, NY
    • Annual Salary: $45,000 - $55,000
