    About the Role:

    As a member of the process engineering team, this role is responsible for the functionality of manufacturing equipment and processes as well as the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve quality and productivity at our Millbury facility.

    You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to satisfy our customers.


    What Youll Do:
    Support manufacturing Working directly with the manufacturing team to support existing equipment. Designing, reviewing, and approving manufacturing process changes. Modifying equipment and processes to accommodate new products and improve safety, consistency, and yield. Participating in development of new equipment specifications and procurement. Providing operator training and troubleshooting support as needed.

    Provide support for multiple prepreg manufacturing lines focusing on:
    Daily process monitoring and maintenance of processing parameters. Achieving lot to lot consistency. Identifying and implementing opportunities for change-over time reduction. Creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures. Work with EH&S to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulatory requirements. Collaborate with R&D to create sustainable processes to fulfill customers product needs. Work with Quality on Document Control and Contract Review to ensure proper setup and utilization of equipment and processes. Perform ergonomic and hazard review on equipment. Assist facility in establishing lean manufacturing principles and practices. Capital budget and equipment project planning and timelines. Performs DOEs, and participates in the development of control plans, Process Maps, and PFMEA documentation.

    Apply formal problem-solving techniques to determine root cause, troubleshoot non-conforming products, raw materials, and components, and implement corrective and preventative action plans.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    Education and Experience Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience; experience with composite prepreg is an asset but not a requirement Bachelors degree in mechanical or chemical Engineering Web handling - tensioning, steering/guiding, unwinding, winding would be an asset.

    Experience working in EX rated environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools and Solid Works. Experience and strong aptitude working in an ERP or other related system. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to work as a team member or independently and to manage time effectively. Strong project management skills and knowledge of applicable tools. Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Knowledge. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skill.
