About the College/Unit/Department:
The Department of Physics and Astronomy values interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships with national laboratories. Faculty have the opportunity to build collaborations with research staff at the Savannah River National Laboratory and leverage co-located facilities, such as the DOE Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative featuring cutting-edge materials modeling and simulations.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and teach courses in quantum materials, supervise graduate students, and conduct research in the field of quantum materials. Candidates should submit a cover letter with a brief summary of their scientific background, strengths, plan, and teaching experience; a complete curriculum vitae; a statement of research interests (3 pages maximum); a statement of teaching and mentoring philosophy and interests (2 pages maximum); and contact information for at least three references.
Requirements:
A Ph.D. in Physics or a related field, postdoctoral research experience, and expertise in quantum materials.
