Description
Responsibilities
Altec Worldwide (AWW) is hiring an Sr. Accountant in Birmingham, AL. This position is responsible for reviewing and processing AP/AR invoices, reviewing expense reports, providing customer/supplier support, and assisting in month-end close procedures/reconciliations.
Responsibilities
Review and code invoices and expense reports for payment
Audit expenses/payables to ensure compliance and cost control and report findings as necessary
Review and finalize Accounts Receivable invoices
Process warranty claim credits
Assist with monthly AR and AP close
Provide customers and suppliers assistance and support as needed
Reconcile general ledger accounts
Complete various monthly and quarterly reports as required
Maintain customer credit files including conversion of all financials to US currency and input data for ratio calculation
Calculate various taxes including GST, VAT, etc.
Review and analyze WIP jobs
Review and analyze Gross Margin reports
Assist with customer setups and export control reviews
All other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
2 years of industry experience required
The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.
