    About the Job

    The Harel Lab is seeking an experienced researcher/MRI technologist to assist with ongoing lab activities and upcoming research. This position requires image processing experience as well as experience working in a clinical research setting.

    Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

    • Acquire imaging data (operate 7T research scanner)
    • Able to interaction with participants such as obtaining informed consent, explanation of procedure, etc.
    • Perform standard image processing on MRI and CT datasets
    • Perform manual analyses on imaging data (registrations, segmentations, parcellations).
    • Organize and track imaging database
    • Support other research staff in identifying appropriate data for projects
    • Develop new methods for improving image analysis and addressing research and clinical needs
    Qualifications


    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or a combination of related education/experience totaling at least four years
    • Extensive knowledge of MR imaging, including diffusion MRI
    • Proficiency using MR processing tools and software such as FSL, AFNI, and 3dSlicer
    • Demonstrated ability to work on projects independently while supporting day-to-day operations
    • Demonstrated experience working under Good Clinical Practice

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Advanced degree in a related field (physics, math, electrical engineering, neuroscience, etc)
    • Knowledge of DBS therapy and relevant neuroanatomy
    • Proficiency in at least one coding language (python, matlab, etc)
    • Familiarity with linux systems and bash scripting
    • Experience using UMN Redcap
    • Experience extracting information from patient charts and/or using Epic
