Job description
An Unarmed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises, enforcing security policies, and responding to security incidents. You do not carry firearms but may use other non-lethal security equipment.
Schedule:
Saturdays and Sundays only, 2200– :00 PM – 6:00 AM), 8 hours per shift. Perfect for those seeking consistent weekend-only work with weekday flexibility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or training)
- State-issued security officer license (unarmed)
- Previous security experience is often preferred but not always required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and make sound judgments
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Attention to detail and observation skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine patrols of the designated area to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
- Monitor and control access points, checking identification and ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve the situation.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and other security equipment.
- Document security incidents, accidents, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance and information to visitors and employees, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Enforce security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Administer first aid and CPR if required and trained to do so.
- Work with other security personnel and emergency services as needed.
