    Description

    The Quality Assurance Engineer This is a key supporting role in the QA Department, with a focus on ensuring the ongoing compliance of Quality Management System through direct support of the Quality Manager. The position supports monitoring, verifying, and maintaining compliance in areas including physical equipment, change management, internal and customer specifications, testing documentation, along with support of the Quality Concerns system and associated corrective action.

    Essential Functions:

    Assist with installation and configuration and maintenance of LIMs (Laboratory Information System)

    Raw Materials Inspection, including responsibility for approval, and release of raw materials for production use, maintenance of vendor certification, and updates to governing procedures with guidance from management

    Support Quality Concern management emphasis on INTERNAL by logging/entry, updating, reporting, and follow-up of any

    corrective action requirements, including dispositioning, additional test requests, validation, and effectiveness auditing

    Contract review support for the Quality Systems Specialist, including direct review of customer purchase orders, maintenance of customers specifications, quality clauses and T&Cs along with dissemination of customer specification and requirements to certification templates as part of the configuration management process

    Maintenance of Test Standards, and support of the Technical Department in the creation of new standards when required

    Support QE Team with measuring and monitoring equipment across the organization, including logging and maintenance of

    equipment status reports, calibration and associated records, and purchasing of new or replacement equipment

    Auditing for internal audit process

    QMS including document control and procedure updated.

    Customer complaint & corrective action system including root cause analysis, corrective action & customer communication

    Nonconforming material process including logs & quality review board (QRB)

    Participating in the shipping certification process (reviewing final packets & signing off when complete, creating certifications and processing shipments)

    3rd party & customer audit support.

    Qualifications

    *Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems technology, software engineering or industrial engineering related, required

    *Minimum 2 years knowledge of QA methods and tools, computer competence and testing practices in a manufacturing environment required

    *Knowledge of textiles/aerospace industry preferred
