    Overview:
    As a Machine Design Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in automation and machinery design. Join a longstanding client of Sterling Engineering, they have a substantial backlog of work and a long-standing reputation for excellence. This open-ended contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $45, providing you with a rewarding and challenging environment to thrive.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Design and develop innovative machinery solutions for automation processes
    • Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs
    • Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to optimize machinery performance
    • Implement design improvements and modifications based on feedback and testing
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation and technical specifications
    • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
    • Continuously explore new technologies and design methodologies to enhance efficiency
    Requirements:
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (preferred but not required)
    • Proven experience in machinery design, preferably 5 years or more
    • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Effective communication and documentation skills
