- Performs relatively simple automated and relatively complex manual procedures in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, serology, immunology and specimen procurement and dispatch.
- Performs routine type and screen, routine cross matching, routine antibody identification, and routine Blood Bank procedures as directed.
- Operates and maintains clinical laboratory equipment ranging from simple to complex depending upon availability.
- Performs required quality control, quality assurance procedures, as assigned.
- Collects, process, and delivers specimens for analysis.
- Processess reference lab reports for scanning.

The position is located at the Northern Navajo Medical Center, Division of Clinical Services, Medical Laboratory Branch in Shiprock, NM. Serves as a Medical Technician in the Clinical Laboratory Department with the duties of performing a variety of standardized routine procedures in the department. The position reports directly to the Supervisory Clinical Laboratory Scientists.
