ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Leading and motivating employees to embrace our Lean culture while meeting production targets.
- Focusing on Lean practices and Safety to ensure efficient production and high quality standards.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager and overseeing plant operations to maintain productivity, quality control, and on-time delivery.
- Supervising and inspiring staff to deliver top-notch products in the industry.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in a Lean & Safety conscious manufacturing setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to thrive in a deadline-driven team setting.
Additional Preferred Experience Includes:
Team Management:
- Leading and managing production staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Creating a positive and safe work atmosphere, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Process Improvement:
- Identifying areas for enhanced efficiency and reduced costs.
- Implementing lean manufacturing principles for streamlined operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitoring product standards and enforcing quality control measures.
- Promptly addressing deviations from quality standards.
Inventory Management:
- Managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate raw material stock.
- Minimizing excess inventory while meeting production needs.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitoring labor variance and resolving issues effectively.
Collaboration:
- Working closely with different departments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with senior management to drive business growth strategies.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- A degree focusing on Advanced Manufacturing, with a specialization in Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.
- Engineering education and work experience is preferred.
