Duties and responsibilities
Provide quality drawings and improve the methods which increase efficiency in the production of those drawings as it generates revenue by saving cost and time
Responsible for maintaining effective communication, efficient collaboration and coordination, and working relationships with external clients, customers, and contractors; to include working closely with internal departments/customers to maintain schedules, implement changes and revisions in operational procedures
Advise, develop and maintain expert knowledge of developments and changes in engineering technologies
Oversee all CAD processes, ensure continuous improvement and most cost effective methods; to include, Understand the project/program and its requirements, determine key variables for cost and other estimates, gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses or other venues, conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc., use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting, create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions etc.)
Assist with design and engineering a system of uncompromising quality that exceeds all written specifications and customer expectations
Manage and measure the customer's expectations as described by the "Customer", i.e. quality, customer service, best pricing, timing, and but not limited to delivery, etc.; therefore, in order to exceed the customer's expectation, a clear definition must be established at the onset of a project
Demonstrate sound project management skills and responsible for project material handling taking into consideration the project cost control and should ensure the project's compliance with the given Company policies and procedures
Provide input to business development, conduct project related model reviews, photograph projects and archive completed projects
Prepare and maintain reports as required (i.e., weekly, monthly)
Perform and participate in the recruitment and hiring processes for CAD staff, review worker performance, organize necessary interventions for improvement, and train & identify training needs
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited College or University, or an equivalent combination of education & experience
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Strong analytical skills, exceptional judgment, dependable, excellent teamwork skills, good time management skills, able to delegate, creative, problem-solving, hardworking & persistent, professional competence, proactive
Maintains good public relations by displaying an attitude of dedication, courtesy and professional competence that will be recognized as such by customers (internal and external)
Entrepreneurial; must have the ability to develop business, sales and marketing plans; ability to introduce new products and services, to include managing those processes
Current/active driver's license
Working conditions
Travel 10% of time in the field, at customer's sites

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:

- 9+ years of experience in production and manufacturing processes, excellent technical knowledge in the steel, mining, industrial, recycling or maintenance repair industry, to include Supervisory experience
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
