    Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer for our Integrations team to elevate the next-generation Censys Platform. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to build, deploy, and maintain robust integrations with third-party systems, including SIEMs, SOARs, and Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs). These integrations will enrich attack surface data and deliver key insights directly to practitioners and CISOs, enabling effective visibility and response to threats.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement strong integrations between the Censys Platform and third-party security systems.
    • Develop high-performance, scalable API connectors.
    • Maintain and enhance existing Censys open source APIs.
    • Write internal pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deploying new and existing integrations.
    • Create automated solutions for continuous integration and deployment processes.
    • Focus on customer needs, prioritizing feature requests to inform the integrations roadmap.
    • Keep abreast of new developments in SOAR, SIEM, and TIP technologies to shape our integration strategy.

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in building integrations or backend systems.
    • Experience integrating with security platforms (e.g., Splunk, Cortex XSOAR, Anomali, Recorded Future).
    • Strong knowledge of API-first development and service integration principles.
    • Proven capability in unifying multiple APIs under well-defined service contracts.
    • Proficiency in Golang or Python, particularly for backend development.
    • Expert understanding of REST/gRPC and service-oriented architecture.
    • A drive to enhance CI/CD processes and development workflows.
    • A commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on iterative improvement.
    • The ability to engage in meaningful technical discussions and make informed, data-driven decisions.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

    Distinct Advantages:

    • A background in cybersecurity engineering.
    • Experience with various cloud services, particularly Google Cloud.
    • Success in integrating with vendor marketplaces (e.g., AWS, Splunk).
    • Familiarity with open-source security tools like Metasploit, recon-ng, nmap, Qualys, and Tenable.
    • Experience in building and managing containerized services using Kubernetes.
    • Knowledge of distributed systems and data ingestion frameworks.
    • Experience in database migrations and scalable data architecture.
    • A focus on creating sustainable software with emphasis on test coverage and CI practices.
    • A keen interest in leveraging AI and ML technologies to enhance development and productivity.

    Compensation: For high cost of living areas (San Francisco Bay, New York City, Seattle), the expected salary range for this position is $180,000 - $212,000, with bonus eligibility and equity. For all other locations, the expected salary range is $153,000 - $180,000, also with bonus eligibility and equity. We offer comprehensive benefits effective from day one, including 401k matching, health insurance, vision, and dental coverage.
