Job SummaryRAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for an ASC Registered Nurseto join our team. As an ASC Registered, you will provide nursing care to patients in our outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center.

This position is fulltime (with the option of part-time 0.8 or 0.9) working 8 hour day shifts between the hours of 7:30am-5:00pm, no weekends or call; includes some travel to Woodbury.

Essential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Patient CareExplains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation and understanding, and reduce apprehensionScreens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indicationsEducates patient and family about pre, intra, and post procedure careAdministers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e.

contrasts and sedations) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for carePrepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of patientMaintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patientObserves patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidentsMonitors patient conditions including vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patientResponds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocolDocuments patient history and physical assessmentInitiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instructionEnsures compliance with all HIPPA guidelines(10%) Department SupportParticipates in department or unit quality improvement activitiesAssists in establishing, evaluating and updating patient care standardsMaintains patient monitoring equipment and nursing equipment(5%) Performs other duties as assignedRequirementsRequired:

Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing Registered Nurse with current appropriate state licenseCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationBLS and ACLS Minimum of 6 months of experience in a hospital or clinicPreferred:2 years' experience in a hospital or clinicExperience in surgical centers/radiologyBilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
