    Description


    This individual will be working with a team of talented SREs/DevOps and Application Support Engineers tp supports the enterprise applications at CME Group in the customer facing environments.

    The responsibilities are:
    • Support CME applications on on-premise / cloud environments and fix the production / pre-production environment issues.
    • Participate in the software development lifecycle, working closely with the development team to ensure that designed solutions meet non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security and maintainability standards.
    • Work with the development team and platform engineering team on Google cloud migration
    • Maintain services through monitoring of metrics, system health, and analysis of reports.
    • Incident management and conducting post incident reviews
    • Improve processes and systems within the Program.
    • Support occasionally on weekends and on holidays.

    Skills:
    • Mid level development experience in Java/Python and Oracle/Postgres/BigQuery.
    • Experience in GCP/AWS/Azure cloud technologies, preferably in GCP.
    • Clear understanding on defining SLI/SLO/SLA is preferred.
    • Knowledge with GITOps is preferred.
    • Exposure to working with metrics & monitoring, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
    • Familiarity with UC4/Atomic scheduler tool.
    • Experience in troubleshooting, resolving and fixing the production issues.
    • Willingness to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
    • Excellent communication and relationship building/collaboration skills.
