    APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Auburn Hills, MI looking to add a Controls Automation Engineer to their already amazing team.

    The Controls Automation Engineer will be support factory operations and troubleshoot plant issues including automation, robots and maintenance. Think this sounds like you? Keep reading to find out more

    What your day will look like:
    Managing supplies to ensure cost and delivery goals are maintained
    Providing assembly support during the build process as needed
    Troubleshooting or upgrading additional equipment
    Providing support for equipment installation, start-up and testing
    Developing, testing and implementing software for multiple systems
    Managing various automation projects as required, including preparation of project descriptions and selection of contractors/vendors
    Improving reliability and performance of production and implementing changes as needed
    Other duties as required


    What we are looking for:
    3+ years' experience in the development and implementation of electrical design, automation, schematics, programming and control system integration
    Knowledge of AutoCAD schematic drawing
    PLC/HMI programming experience, Rockwell preferred
    Cognex, Keyence and Dalsa preferred
    Able to interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams
    Comfortable writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    Ability to stand for entire shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
