    ABOUT THE ROLE
    Manufacturing Engineer III is a vital role in the production of GILLIG's high quality mass transit buses.

    As a Manufacturing Engineer III for GILLIG, you will interact with both internal and external business partners to identify production issues and implement engineering solutions.

    You will have a keen knowledge of each of the unique platforms that we design and build; with this knowledge you will implement creative and continuous process improvements to ensure our reputation as industry leaders remains consistent with the core values of "The GILLIG Way".

    Define, plan, and design manufacturing processes for production facility
    Analyze complex assembly, fabrication, machining processes for efficiency and cost
    Maximize efficiency of optimization layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization
    Assist with complex NPI workflow, including Work Instructions and Manufacturing guidelines
    Determine the components, equipment, tools, and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
    Perform other duties, as required

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's Degree in a Manufacturing Engineering discipline
    5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably an OEM plant
    Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment
    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Ability to lift 25lbs
    Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally kneel or squat
    Limited travel may be required
    Standard start time: 5:00 AM; onsite
    Working environment is primarily indoors (office and production spaces) but at times job may require time spent outdoors
    May be exposed to loud industrial sounds, dust, and various adhesive odors

    EXPECTED COMPENSATION
    $75,000 - $275,000/annual salary + premium benefits
    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
