- Ability to travel heavily, up to 100%
- Distribution warehouses - varying conditions depending on assignment.
- Conduct equipment installation (electrical and computer), vendor trials, start-up, and commissioning activities for machine vision equipment, primarily in the logistics industry.
- Test and troubleshoot equipment to identify and eliminate problems prior to and during online trials to confirm readiness for sortation.
- Investigate performance issues, determine root cause, and develop permanent countermeasures
- Provide training to onsite maintenance on specification and operation of new equipment
- Check drawings provided by mechanical and electrical designers for accuracy and provide feedback for corrections as needed.
- Traveling to customers' business (100% Travel position).
- Minimum 3 years experience in technical field, with emphasis on mechanical application.
- 2 years technical degree, technical certifications, or military/technician experience equivalent.
- Ability to travel up to 100% (based on scheduled projects) within the United States and Canada, while meeting site vaccination requirements.
- Electrical knowledge: able to read wiring diagrams, test/troubleshoot electrical wiring, and solder electrical connections
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in a (sometimes) physically-demanding environment
- Able to learn new tasks quickly and sometimes on-the-job
- Understanding of PC configuration and installation
