    Description

    Responsibilities for this Position

  • Administers various types of treatments as required.
  • Ability to give meticulous manicure, pedicure, and hand/foot treatments.
  • Responds to any guest complaints and ensures the privacy of each guest.
  • Promotes and sells products.
  • Cross-trains to perform all services within a unisex salon operation such as, make-up applications, facial/skin care and waxing as determined by license and certification.
  • Prepares nail care equipment, sanitizes instruments, treatment areas and supplies daily, and completes all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
  • On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is expected.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift 15 pounds.
  • Ability to perform current, fashionable and age appropriate hair styles.
  • Ability to perform various treatment procedures and scalp treatments as requested by the guest.
  • Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.

    Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensed by State Board of Cosmetology, Esthetician or Cosmetologist.
  • One-year previous experience.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

    Technical Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Must meet grooming standards.
