- Serve as the frontline HR contact, addressing questions on HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Provide HR support including employee relations guidance, issue resolution, and documentation.
- Support employee investigations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding and employee transitions.
- Communicate and implement HR programs, initiatives, and process improvements.
- Maintain HR metrics for assigned client groups, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to facilitate hiring for assigned groups, including interview coordination and documentation.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and DOT-related requirements, including DOT drug-testing (as applicable).
- Participate in HR projects and activities as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to build effective partnerships with leaders and employees at all levels.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and deadline management.
- Excellent communication, time-management, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field from an accredited college or university
- 3+ years' human resources experience (experience as an HR Coordinator or Generalist preferred)
- HR Certification preferred (SHRM CP, PHR)
- Experience in manufacturing or transportation-related industries preferred.
