    Core ResponsibilitiesCommitted to the Way We Work Principles, and adheres to the Company's Standards of Business Conduct and other Company procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (''EH&S''), Equal Employment Opportunity (''EEO''), discipline and security.

    Supervise personnel to meet operational needs to ensure the safe and efficient use of personnel and resources.

    Plans, organizes, schedules and directs all garage personnel engaged in the maintenance, repair, inspection of Company vehicles and equipment, the vehicle Fueling Station or any transportation related activity.

    Establishes training and development needs of garage personnel and ensures that work activities and repairs conform to manufacturer's specifications.

    Manages workforce efficiently to achieve a high level of productivity and conformance with corporate Environmental, Health and Safety policies and practices to ensure a safe and professional work environment.

    Develops and maintains good employee relations in conformance with corporate policies and practices, the labor agreement and governmental regulations.
    Supervise and ensure efficient operation of parts/supply room so that materials, supplies, equipment stock and orders meet operational needs.

    Regularly offers technical vehicle repair recommendations and identifies and improves the efficiency of work processes such as preventive maintenance schedules.

    Provides roadside service for disabled Company vehicles and equipment.
    Maintains accurate records on vehicle inventory levels, preventative maintenance schedules, employee time records, employee attendance, etc.
    Enforces good housekeeping practices in the work place. Ensures safety in work procedures and job set-ups. Conducts weekly communications meetings to discuss safe work practices and share pertinent work-related information.
    Manages within established guidelines to enforce Company policies and procedures.
    Enhances the Company's public image by effectively evaluating the performance and appearance of the automotive equipment.
    Keeps abreast of the latest equipment and repair techniques used in vehicle/equipment repairs.

    Stays up-to-date on Department of Transportation (DOT), OSHA and ANSI standards and regulations and assist in implementing quality assurance for O&R garages.

    Makes periodic Quality Assurance checks at the garage to review work in progress and evaluate the quality of work being performed.

    Approves expenditures for labor, contractor services, material and supplies and equipment within authorized limits.
    Participates in various automotive committees/task forces and provide feedback relative to quality and productivity improvements, trainings, requirements, etc.
    Participates in the Company's emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
    Performs other related assignments as directed.
    Required Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

    Relevant Work ExperienceMust have at least five years of related experience, preferably in fleet maintenance, repair and inspection of mobile hydraulics and power operated equipment and related disciplines.

    RequiredMust have some automotive technical training in auto mechanics. RequiredMust possess proven leadership qualities/skills and the ability to motivate people. RequiredMust be well organized, detail-oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. RequiredMust possess excellent interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.

    Must have the ability to effectively interact with various levels of management and the union RequiredMust have strong decision-making, organization, and analytical skills.

    Strong attention to detail is essential. RequiredComputer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required. RequiredShould express a willingness and high level of enthusiasm to share knowledge with other employees.

    RequiredMust be available to respond to emergencies or direct activities when necessary and be able and willing to travel within the Company service territory as needed.
