    JOB SUMMARY/


    PURPOSE:

    Leads the District health services function through the planning, development and conducting of programs which support the basic health care of students and staff.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice as a professional registered nurse in Missouri.

    Knowledge/Skills - Possesses good oral and written communication skills. Certified in CPR. Able to perform CPR in a realistic setting, i.e. on the floor. Competent PC skills in word-processing and spreadsheet software. Able to effectively provide planning, organizing and leadership to multilocation health services function across a geographically dispersed area. Skilled at presentation of program information in one-on-one and small group situations. Competent in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.


    Experience - Minimum of 3+ years nursing care experience; with 1 or more years of school nursing experience or social service industry preferred.

    Supervisory experience preferred (e.g. Charge Nurse, Assistant Head Nurse experience)
