The hospital s inpatient and outpatient services include medical, surgical, pediatric, critical care, home health, outpatient and acute inpatient psychiatric, oncology, obstetrical, and other specialties.
Full-timeDay Shift + On call TBD based on number of providers sharing the call
Ability to work weekends occasionally
Participates in daily rounds on assigned patients and documents the pertinent symptoms, findings, diagnoses and care plans.
Utilizes electronic medical record for order entry and documentation.
Responds to coding and documentation queries and participates as requested in quality and safety initiatives.
Proficiency with the electronic health records for documentation, assessment, and care management, performing these activities concurrently with provision of care throughout the shift
Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of Hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups
Understands of anatomy, diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, methods and equipment.
Analytical ability to monitor data, develop treatment plans and prescribe medication
Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently
Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently - Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs - Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision - Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects - Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair - May be required to lift up to 75 pounds - Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids - Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone - May require periodic use of personal computer
